Outside of Medicine: Shannon has been “trading manual labor for horseback rides” since the age of nine. Since the age of sixteen, she has worked off and on at a dude ranch giving riding lessons and as a camp counselor. She still enjoys riding horses (and is mastering roping cattle) along with snowboarding and classical guitar
